Artist Talk & Demo by Richie Vios
Watercolor artist Richie Vios will join us at the Ross Gallery for a Plein Air Artist Talk and Watercolor Demo. Richie will create a painting from start to finish, sharing his methods and answering questions as he works. This is a great opportunity to learn painting techniques and gain insight from a professional artist. The demonstration is free, and all are welcome to attend.
Harvestfest
On Saturday, November 7, Arts for Rural Texas will proudly host Harvestfest, our annual fundraising dinner and auction, at the Round Top Rifle Association Hall. This year’s theme, America the Beautiful, celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States. This inspiring evening supports ARTS' mission by raising funds to continue fostering creativity in children and adults.
We would love for you to join us in celebrating this special night! You can support Harvestfest by purchasing a table or ticket, becoming an event underwriter, donating original artwork, or volunteering at the event.
The Holiday Show Opening Reception
This annual exhibition celebrates local artists in the community and provides a special opportunity for creatives to showcase their work in the Ross Gallery.
The exhibition will open in conjunction with Fayetteville’s Country Christmas celebration on Saturday, December 12. Visitors are invited to enjoy the festivities throughout the day, stop by the gallery from 4:00 – 6:00 PM for the show’s opening reception, and stick around afterwards for the lighted parade on the town square.
ArtWalk Artist Application Deadline

ArtWalk 2027
Arts for Rural Texas’ annual ArtWalk takes place every first weekend of May on Fayetteville’s historic town square. Voted “Best Cultural Event” by the readers of the Fayette County Record, this juried fine art festival, free to the public, is a must-attend event for art enthusiasts, collectors, families, and visitors.
ArtWalk showcases over 60 artists working in a variety of media, including painting, drawing, photography, sculpture, ceramics, fiber, and more. The festival also awards over $5,000 in cash prizes.
Along with fine art, attendees can enjoy live music, children’s activities, a food court, local wineries, and more.
ARTS’ 23rd annual ArtWalk will be held Saturday, May 1 from 10 AM - 5 PM, and Sunday, May 2 from 10 AM - 4 PM.

Art After School Registration Opens
Art After School classes introduce children to various forms of art while encouraging creative thinking in a fun and safe environment. Registration for the Fall 2026 semester of Art After School will open August 11. Stay tuned for a complete list of classes and locations!
Emerging Artists Competition: Opening & Awards Reception
This annual youth art competition and exhibition showcases the creativity and talent of rural Texas students. Held each year at the Ross Gallery, the competition invites students in grades 6–12 to submit one original work of art for a chance to earn ribbons and a share of $5,000 in cash prizes.

ARTS on the Runway
Arts for Rural Texas presents ARTS on the Runway. This dazzling event transforms the historic Round Top Rifle Hall into a glamorous runway showcasing the latest fashion trends. Vendors will be announced soon.
Beyond the glitz and the glamour, ARTS on the Runway has a noble purpose. All proceeds directly support ARTS' Children's Programs and provide access to art education in our rural communities.

Summer Camp Registration Opens
Summer Camp keeps the creativity going beyond the school year! These weeklong day camps are held throughout June and July, with classes tailored to lower elementary, upper elementary, and middle and high school students. Registration will open April 7.

Paint & Sip
Raise a glass—and a paintbrush—to an evening of creativity and fun with local artist Stephen Henry! Participants will follow Stephen's step-by-step process from the first stroke to the finishing touches to create an acrylic masterpiece to take home.
This event will be held in the ARTS Ross Gallery, where Stephen's work will be on display. A selection of beer and wine will be available, but participants are welcome to bring their own specialty drinks. All materials and supplies are provided, and all skill levels are welcome.
