Unleash your creativity in this fun and inspiring after-school painting and drawing class! Designed for young artists of all skill levels, this class offers a supportive space to explore artistic expression through various mediums such as pencil, charcoal, pastels, watercolors, and acrylic paints.
Adventures in Watercolor with Bonny

Grades 3 - 6
Wednesdays, 4 - 5 PM
September 10 - November 19, 2025
Adventures in the world of watercolor will start with all the basics, students will work in a progressive manner completing, a journal of their work. Students will learn watercolor techniques, and ways to creatively express themselves using, watercolors. The class will study the color wheel, brush use, layering and patterns.
Clay Works with Jessica

Grades 1 - 5
Thursdays, 4 - 5 PM
September 11 - November 20, 2025
Get ready to squish, roll, and sculpt! In this fun and hands-on after-school clay class, kids will explore the exciting world of 3D art using air-dry and oven-bake clay. Students will learn basic techniques like pinching, coiling, and slab building to bring their creative ideas to life—from cute animals and silly monsters to mini pots and imaginative sculptures. No experience needed—just bring your imagination and be ready to get your hands messy!

Smithville Art After School classes are held at the Mary Nichols Art Center (301 Burleson street, Smithville, TX 78957).
