Art After School

ARTS’ free after school classes introduce children to various forms of art while encouraging creative thinking in a fun and safe environment. Taught by local artists, musicians, and educators, classes are designed to build self-confidence while contributing to artistic skills, leadership development, better academic performance, and barrier-breaking.


About the Program

Enrollment Requirements

Students grades 1st- 12th may register for Art After School classes. The program is open to public, private, and home schooled students, so that every child has an opportunity to explore art. Art After School classes are always free; no registration fee is required. This program is very popular, so early enrollment is advised.

Class Topics

ARTS’ Art After School program offers different art styles and subjects for your child to explore, such as: acrylic painting, watercolor painting, drawing, mixed media, photography, digital art, fiber and needle felting, gardening, storybook art, sensory and tactile projects, and principles of art and design.

Locations

Art After School is held weekly during the school year in the following locations: Columbus, Fayetteville, Flatonia, La Grange, Round Top- Carmine, Schulenburg, Sheridan, Waelder, and Weimar.
